Founded in 2004, the Derrick Lewis Basketball School is dedicated to teaching the core fundamentals, skills, and competitive mindset necessary for success at every level of the game. Our guiding philosophy, "Play Smart. Play with Heart," defines our approach to player development.

What sets us apart is the exceptional playing and coaching experience of our founder, Coach Derrick Lewis. Having succeeded at every competitive level, Coach Lewis passes on unique tools and insider knowledge to every athlete.

• High School: McDonald's All-American & DMV Player of the Year.

• NCAA (Maryland): All-Time Leader in Career Blocked Shots (339); 2x All-ACC; Only Maryland player with 2x Triple-Doubles.

• Professional: Drafted by the Chicago Bulls (1988); 15+ year career, including recording the French League’s only Quadruple-Double.

• Coaching: Over 30 years of experience, including 2-time Coach of the Year for the Baltimore Catholic League, and current pro TBL Coach
